JOB DESCRIPTION
Santa Barbara Wine Country Tours is seeking friendly folks to lead our guests on exceptional tasting experiences in wine country. This is a part-time position (1–3 days per week most likely, with a possibility for more). If wine and people are your passion, and you know the Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez regions like your own backyard — or are simply willing to learn — we’d love to hear from you. We are looking for people with a professional demeanor, great time-management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing situations. The ideal candidate will also be able to problem-solve and enjoy working with a diverse range of people, while working well independently with little supervision.
JOB DUTIES
Passenger pick-up, drop-off, and transportation from Santa Barbara to Santa Ynez
Providing information about the local region, culture, and history
Working face-to-face with winery tasting room staff
Following set itinerary and directing guests at each winery to stay on schedule
Communicating with clients to ensure comfort and enjoyment throughout the day
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Customer service experience
Class B driver’s license
Clean driving record, comfortable transporting passengers
In-depth wine knowledge
Familiarity with the Santa Barbara & Santa Ynez regions
Friendly and outgoing personality, enjoy meeting new people
Experience leading tours/managing groups of people is a plus
